A lot of people wanted to see a little more on how we made Battlestations!, so here it is. It's 8 hours condensed down to less than 5 minutes. We also want to thank everyone involved, hopefully we got everyone in this video. You all did an amazing job!

Also, a special thanks to Derek Yorton for taking that slap like a man...again, and again, and again, and again......

Battlestations!

This is a commercial we made for the Doritos Crash the Superbowl contest. We had an absolute blast making it at U-Prep in Redding CA. Everyone in it is a U-Prep student and they all did an amazing job. While there are quite a few effects shots, the "Fractal Dorito" itself is entirely real. It was made from more than 12,000 chips. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun.

Be sure to check out the Projects page to learn more about how we made the giant fractal chip. We also have a Making of/Bloopers Reel.

The entire commercial was shot on a Panasonic GH1. It's a tiny SLR type camera that takes amazing video. It did an incredible job and we're planning on using it in upcoming projects.

Speaking of which...

We have a webshow coming up called "Nerd High". It's a musical comedy that takes place in an alternate world where all the highschool cliche's are reversed. Nerds rule the highschool and all the jocks and cheerleaders are outcasts. But it gets even crazier than that.....
